About astrology
Astrology is a language
Developed over four thousand years, it is a structured system for describing disposition. Not a prediction. Not a verdict. A map.
Your birth chart is a photograph of the sky at the exact minute you were born. It records where each planet sat in relation to the Earth: the Sun by sign and degree, the Moon by house, the Ascendant on the eastern horizon. These positions do not change. Your relationship to them does.
The system
Disposition, not fate
A chart describes inclination. It does not determine outcome. If your chart shows a tendency to hold positions past their usefulness, you are not doomed to do so. You are more likely to do so unless you recognise the pattern.
Recognition is the entire point. Astrology gives you language for patterns you already sense but cannot name.
The precision
The exact minute matters
Your sun sign is determined by the date. Everything else, the houses, the ascendant, the midheaven, and the precise aspects, depends on the exact time and place.
Two people born on the same day in the same city, two hours apart, will have different ascendants and different emphases. Same planet, different room.
What the chart describes
- 01
Temperament
What you need before you can rest. What you mistake for logic when it is anxiety. Where you repeat yourself.
- 02
Timing
When the ground is solid. When to move and when to consolidate. Saturn returns, Jupiter transits, progressed phases.
- 03
Relation
Where friction is structural and where it is temporary. House overlays, cross-aspects, composite charts.
- 04
Direction
The vocational thread. Where public effort aligns with temperament. The Midheaven, the nodal axis, the chart ruler.
A map, not a verdict
The chart does not say you are a good person or a bad one. It does not predict specific events. It does not diagnose. It describes conditions.
The planets do not cause your behaviour. They mark time. The correlation is symbolic, not causal. The value lies in recognition: seeing a pattern clearly enough to decide whether to continue it.
This is why a full chart reads differently from a sun-sign column. The column describes one planet in one sign, shared by one twelfth of the population. A full chart describes the specific arrangement of ten bodies across twelve houses, filtered through your exact moment of birth.
The method
Every Astramapa report is calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris to the arcminute. Placidus houses. True node. Mean Chiron.
The interpretation is drawn from the complete set of placements, aspects, and house positions. Every degree is listed so the work can be checked.
Start with your chart
The Personality Profile is the foundation. Every other report builds on it.
